CamInvoice vs GDT e-VAT: What Cambodian Businesses Need to Know
Separate the GDDE-led Cambodia E-Invoicing System from GDT tax e-services before scoping an ERP integration.
Short answer
CamInvoice and GDT e-tax services have different institutional roles. GDDE presents Cambodia’s E-Invoicing System and CamInvoice app; GDT publishes tax filing and e-services. An implementation should name the exact workflow rather than call every digital invoice or VAT activity “CamInvoice.”
What to remember
- CamInvoice is associated with GDDE’s e-invoicing platform.
- GDT operates separate tax e-services.
- Invoice exchange, tax filing and VAT reporting should be scoped separately.
Two names, different questions
For CamInvoice, ask how an invoice is prepared, exchanged and tracked through the Cambodia E-Invoicing System. For GDT services, ask what tax filing or payment task the company must complete. The agencies and user journeys differ.
How to avoid a wrong integration brief
List the required documents and endpoints before selecting technology. A request for VAT filing data does not automatically mean CamInvoice API integration, and a CamInvoice workflow does not replace tax advice or a GDT obligation.
Questions to take into discovery
- Is the task invoice exchange, tax filing or both?
- Which agency’s current instructions apply?
- What data must the ERP retain for each workflow?
Quick questions
Is EazLink a GDT e-invoicing provider?
That is not the positioning used here. EazLink is presented as integration middleware for CamInvoice-related workflows, subject to project validation.
